What others say about Gil Alba's accomplishments and ability to perform.
Kathy
Kupka, on Mr. Alba's work on the case of her missing sister.
Gil Alba is the best! I don't know where I would be without
him - he has handled my sister's disappearance with the
utmost professionalism, intelligence, respect, kindness,
and compassion. I almost feel as if Kristine had a hand
in his coming to our assistance. He is a person my sister,
Kristine, would have trusted and highly regarded, and she
was an incredibly intelligent woman. Gil's 28 years of experience
in the NYPD are evident as he has mastered this investigation
using ingenuity and guile. Gil is a committed individual
who I am able to count on both emotionally and professionally.
I am truly thankful for all that Gil has done for me and
my family.

Gil Alba is the Security Director for Camp
Kiwi, a summer camp that has been in existence by the same
owners for the past 47 years. The camp has over 700 campers
and employees 200 staffers. Gil is a rare gem and a superb
professional investigator. With several onerous (State)
camp bills being debated, Gil is the best person to help
our camp and others. He has developed security measures
to keep our children safe and secure, including recommending
background checks for all employees, access control and
security emergencies.

Frustrated by the lack of support provided by the police
and political leaders and desperate to find their son, the
Andrews family took matters into their own hands and hired
Gil Alba, Private Investigator. The missing persons case
involved Larry Andrews Jr, M/W/22, who disappeared on New
Years Eve, 1998, in New York City, Times Square. The Andrews
family formed a tight bond with Alba, which in turn, enabled
them to galvanize a community and conduct a tightly organized
search for the missing boy.
Gil Alba, in concert with the Andrews family, recruited over
300 volunteers that distributed over 350,000 flyers, interviewed
thousands of people, set up a hotline that received over 150 sightings,
followed up on each sighting as well as organized political rallies
and fund raisers. Forty-three days later his body was discovered
in the waterways off of Brooklyn Pier. Gil Alba helped to create
a lasting web site that archived all the knowledge and information
gained during the search for Larry Andrews which in turn could
be used by other families who may be faced with the same dilemma
of how to search for a loved one.

"The reputation of our fine 25-year establishment was at
stake when allegations were fabricated in the newspapers. Mr. Gil
Alba became immersed into the root of the problem by researching,
conducting interviews of town's people, board members and department
heads. He brought creditability and disclosed that 'we had nothing
to hide'. Mr. Alba's recommendations were implemented and we are
grateful that we can continue to seek his assistance and expertise."

Gil Alba facilitated the rescue of Harvey Weinstein, a high-profile
tuxedo manufacturer executive who was kidnapped and subsequently
held hostage by being buried alive by his captors. Detective Alba
was instrumental in the arrest of the subjects and also the recovery
of the $3 million dollar ransom. Without the teamwork by highly
qualified law enforcement personnel, including Detective Alba,
the rescue would not have been possible.

Detective Alba, with another member of the Major Case Squad of
the NYPD, spent many relentless hours investigating coalition group
activities on certain jobs that my company was doing for the New
York City, Housing Authority. Gil Alba helped discover an elaborate
corruption scheme that involved a NYC- Housing Inspector, as well
as a company employee. It was only through Detective Alba and his
partner's keen perception that this scheme was unvolvered and my
company was able to bring a case against those dishonest individuals.

Detective Alba was the lead investigator in one of the largest,
complicated and unusual kidnapping cases in Bronx County history.
There were approximately 150 law enforcement personnel assigned
which ended with the rescue of the victim and arrest, confessions
and convictions of the subjects. The case was featured in the New
York Law Journal, because of the first ruling of its kind regarding
jurisdiction of cellular phone taps. -New York Law Journal After
ten months of intense investigation, Gil Alba arrested and obtained
a confession of an armed bank robber who had robbed twenty banks.
Money, evidence and the weapon were recovered.
- Article NYPD Magazine- Spring 3100
Gil Alba was instrumental, along with other highly qualified
law enforcement personnel in cracking two of the most ruthless
murder and law kidnapping gangs in New York City history. The subjects
were convicted in federal court.
- New York Daily News Article
Gil Alba was one of the best detectives I have ever encountered.
Imagination, intuitiveness, relentless approach, patience and fair
treatment to all concerned were some of the reasons why complicated
and difficult cases were terminated with favorable results.
